Prediction of off-design performance of a cryogenic turboexpander using a meanline calculation procedure

Cryogenic process plants run under wide range of operating conditions. In order to accommodate to this wide range, individual components like the expansion turbine, often operate outside their own design limits leading to deterioration in performance and stability rating. This paper presents a procedure for analysis of the off design performance of a cryogenic turboexpander.
