摘要

This paper presents a modification of the notion of Critically Self-organized Systems (SOC), in which a basic assumption of this model, the uniform distribution of the shocks' sizes, is dropped. In the model proposed here of Evolutionary Self-organized Systems non-uniform shocks generate as a response a new set of rules of interaction, which in turn determine new values for the critical parameter. An interesting possibility that arises here is the change of dimensionality of the system as a result of previous experiences. This framework win be shown useful for representing evolving economies in a general and abstract way.
