A study on motions of pleasure boats moored to floating piers in marina

This paper shows the motions of pleasure boats and floating piers which were measured using 1/20 scale hydraulic model tests. Both single rectangular and comb-shaped floating piers models were used. The motions of floating piers and pleasure boats were also analyzed using a three-dimensional source distribution method, taking into account the effects of the hydrodynamic interaction between floating bodies and mooring forces acting on mooring components connecting floating bodies.
