A Study on Motions of Pleasure Boats Moored to Floating Piers in Marina

This paper shows the motions of pleasure boats and floating piers which were measured using 1/20 scale hydraulic model tests. Both single rectangulr and comb-shaped floating piers models were used. The motions of floating piers and pleasures boats were also analyzed using a three-dimensional source distribution method, taking into account the effects of the hydrodynamic interaction between floating bodies and mooring forces acting on mooring components connecting floating bodies.
