MAINTENANCE PROGRAM FOR CONTAINMENT VESSEL WITH CRANE WALL

We have established a method to prevent corrosion of the containment vessel steel plate at nuclear power plants which have crane walls from developing. This method begins with drying of the clearance between the containment vessel and the crane wall followed by filling the clearance with filler and then sealing with nitrogen. This paper describes the method and a maintenance work which was conducted according to a concrete maintenance work program formulated based on the established method.
