Luminescent performance of two-stacked phosphor layers for green-emitting projection tubes

Two-stacked phosphor layers were investigated in order to improve the luminescent properties of phosphor layers in green-emitting projection tubes. In the two-stacked layers, the strongly excited upper layer showed high luminance, and the weakly excited bottom layer showed improved luminance degradation. In comparison with conventional phosphor layers, the two-stacked phosphor layers showed the higher luminance and the improved luminance degradation at the same emission color.
