Groundnut is one of the main food and cash crops in Guinea. About 132 000 t of groundnuts in shell are produced from 145000 ha. Besides domestic consumption, a part of the production is also exported to neighboring countries. However, rosette remains a major production constraint. It can cause almost total crop loss when it appears in epidemic forms.
