Striving to perfect design and manufacturing technology of heat exchanger apparatus operating at medium and high pressures of heat-transport media, has led to developing the new type of heat exchanger known as matrix heat exchanger (MHE). The basis for the MHE construction provides a matrix composed of many thin plain metallic perforated plates (nets) manufactured of metal with high heat conductivity (copper, aluminum), and thin plain gaskets-spacers manufactured of metal with low heat conductivity (stainless steel, titanium). Matrix has a system of channels of porous structure. This structure creates a highly developed heat transferring surface with anisotropic heat conductivity [1].
