A new type of the UCN source, operating on the base of the pulse spallation source, is proposed. Use of solid deuterium makes it possible to obtain UCNs with the density of 10{sup}4 n/cm{sup}3 due to a great gain factor of solid deuterium at a low temperature and the capability of solid deuterium to resist to high heat loads because of its high thermal capacity.
