摘要

The generation of generally appalicable dimensioning criteria was fo main improtnance at the development of an air-staged burner concept. There, at the combustion of residual fules, large quantities of harmuful nitrogen oxide emissions are produced, owing to the high fuel nitrogen content. For the reduction of the conversion degree of the nitrogen bound in the fuel, the principle of air-staging was used at the burner devleopment. Apart from low CO and soot emissions, the height of the resulting NOx-emission could be reduced by approximately 40 percent by using the developed air-staged burner, in comparison with burners usually available on the market.
