White noise response and Vibration frequecies of thick flexible mechanisms with heavy masses and rotatory intertias, and classical viscus damping, have been analysed with particular consideration of the shear deformation behavior by finite element method. Flexible two links crank-slider systems with viscous damping and geometric nonlinearity added thick beam models for several boundary conditons are incorporated into the analysis, considering the new aspects of research in the literature in the in plane and out of plane vibrations of the related systems. Experiments on crabk slider and manipulator mechanisms, have been carried out for the related practical purposes. Analyses, have been made considering the experimental and numericalk values available in the literature. It has been, also, verified and shown that the assumption of the separate displacement fiels as compared to the total displacement fields assumption of genberal solution procedure of the thick beam theory, leads to the substantially better frequency and white noise resonse values for some of the special flexible closed loop mechanisms as used in practice as also, a new research on the area. The shear deformation behaavior is, also, analysed for white noise excitation cases as a new work. The geometric nonlinearity is, also, found to be considerable in the random resonses.
