A Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) sensor system for the detection of relative humidity (RH) with sensing element coated by polyvinyl-alcohol film (PVA) and implemented electronic module is described. The system configured as a dual resonator SAW oscillator consists of two SAW resonators, two RF amplifiers, a mixer. The RH sensing characteristics of the PVA-based SAW sensor are reported.
