Compact iron scrrened HTS dedicated magnet for osteoporosis

摘要

Feasibility of a compact 2 T HTS superconducting magnet, dedicated to microtomography of the peripherical bones is investigated. The studied unit should provide the possibility of determining structure and interconnections of calcaneous trabecular bones thus allowing an early detection of osteoporosis.
