Piecewise linear approximation of mid-flux line in ferrite cores

Mid-flux line of a magnetic field in ferrite cores, is divided into piecewise linear sections. This approximation is applied to calculate effective dimensions and core factor of different ferrite cores. The calculational results of Piecewise Linear Approximation (PLA) is compared with the results of the more Exact Path of the mid-flux line. This comparison shows that PLA may add, up to two percent error.
