1. Introduction Direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) have been getting considerable attention as potential portable power sources for different electric devices. Platinum have been known as the most attractive catalyst for the MOR. However, The CO poisoning of the pure platinum leads to remarkable decrease in output power and energy efficiency. Using a second metal as a promoter for platinum nanoparticles is a proper method to modify the electro-catalytic properties in the anode of direct methanol fuel cells. It was found that the addition of Co to Pt/MWNTs can improve the performance of Pt/MWNTs in methanol electro-oxidation reaction[l, 2].
