Introduction Carbon materials including graphene and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have attracted a lot of research interest because of its versatile properties[1-7]. In particularly, edge effect[7] in zigzag graphene nanoribbon strongly influences the electronic properties due to active edges. Recently, another carbon material, called carbon nanoscrolls (CNSs)[8] with active edges that are scrolled from a single layer graphene, is suggested to exhibit some excellent properties such as high carrier mobility. Up to now, several methods[8-10] have been reported data for the synthesis of CNSs with active edges. However, the low yield of the scrolled structure limited the exploration of the physical and chemical properties as well as application for electronic devices. Here, we report an advantageous method to produce the high yield' of scrolled structures.
