Separation and activities of antifungal substance produced from gliocladium virens G1 against plant pathogens

摘要

Since Gliocladium virens applied as a biocontrol agent for plant disease especially soilborne fungi, an antifungal effect for major soilborne fungi such as Rhizoctonia solani and Pythium spp. were well documented. Therefore, this study was aimed not only to study antifungal activities to R. solani and C. gloeosporodies causing turf grass Rhizoctonia blight and astragal stem rot and plant anthracnose, but also conducted to separate antifungal substance produced by G.virens G1 antagonistic to the fungi.
