Material and process studies of slotted core element extrusion

摘要

A study of materials and processes for a novel slotted core element extrusion for fiber optic cables is presented. The goal is to clarify the effects of polymer characteristics and process parameters on the properties of the slotted core element. Evaluation is carried out in terms of profile geometry, crystallinity, shrinkage, and surface quality.
