Extension of the PNNI to support mobility management and handoffs in WATM networks based on CORBA

This paper considers an extension to the PNNI for the support of host/terminal mobility. Part I provides a brief introduction and the background. Different concepts are then introduced in the second part, and an implementation of PNNI mobilitysupport signalling, based on Java/CORBA, is presented in part III. Finally, we present performance figures and base line results for Java/CORBA based signalling systems.
