The Durkee plant upgrade from 1500 TPD to 2700 TPD

The Durkee expansion project was successful in meeting the five goals anticipated at the onset of the project. Ash Grove has added state of the art equipment and control systems in a compact design that will enable the Durkee plant to meet thedemand of a growing Northwest market well into the twenty first century. The project from initial concept to startup took less than 22 months and was an excellent example of cooperation between plant personnel, the equipment manufacturer, and contractorto bring a major project on line in this short a period of time. The effort has resulted in a plant that has met or exceeded all guarantees. The design incorporates equipment and technology, which will ensure energy efficiency, low maintenance costs, high operational availability, and environmental compliance.
