Different types of solid state batteries were fabricated and characterized using the highest conducting composition of silverselenophosphate (SSP) glass, as solid electrolyte(SE), with different cathode materials (I:C, (I+C):SE and {(I+C)+SE}TAAI, where I is iodine, C is graphite, SE is solid electrolyte (SSP glass) and TAAI is tetra-alkyle (methyl and butyl) ammonium iodide ). The performance of the above fabricated cells were estimated by measuring their open circuit voltage (OCV),polarization and discharge characteristics..
