Control of porcine respiratory disease complex with Pulmotil~R and a commercial vaccine

The use of Pulmotil~R in conjunction with a commercial Mycoplasma vaccine was evaluated for controlling the effects of porcine respiratory disease complex (PRDC) in finishing pigs. The purpose of this study was to determine if Pulmotil in conjunction with a commercial Mhp vaccine is an effective approach to controlling the effects on PRDC in finishing pigs. Without knowing the most effective age at which to position treatment with Pulmotil, an equal time trial was set up comparing control pigs not receiving any treatment to pigs that were treated twice with Pulmotil and also vaccinated with commercial Mhp vaccine.
