CONTRIBUTION TO SIMPLE MATHEMATICAL CHARACTERIZATIONS OF THE SPHERICAL (SCALAR) AND HEMISPHERICAL ILLUMINANCE DISTRIBUTIONS
A mathematical model for approximately calculation of the spherical (scalar) and hemispherical illuminance distribution in the surroundings of radiated rectangular surface and of ideal duffuse characteristics, is proposed in this paper. Supposing that the surface luminance is known ( determined by some previous method), the modified model "replacement of a rectangular Lambertian surface (RLS) by an equivalent point light sources (EPLS) with known luminous intensity distribution functions (LIDF)" is firstly applied in the paper and subsequently the spherical and hemispherical illuminance distributions using known formulae, are determined in a working plane.
