CURRENT STREET LIGHTING CHARACTERISTICS AND VISIBILITY LEVEL

Photometric measurements have been carried out in 46 streets in Rouen. After a classification of these streets, based on whether they are leading into town, residential or commercial, each has been evaluated in term of photometric parameters. Taking into account the data of these areas, we also calculated the visibility level of a pedestrian crossing these streets. The visibility values we got, are about twice the recommended street lighting.
