Naive Fault Tree: formulation of the approach

Naive Fault Tree (NFT) accepts a single value or arrange of values for each basic event and returns values for the top event. This accommodates the need of commonly used Fault Trees (FT) for precise data making them prone to data concerns and limiting their area of application. This paper extends the use of Fault Trees (FT) for the cases where accurate data is not available, difficult to obtain or expensive but not at the cost of complicated formulation. This make the approach applicable for system of systems context. An example application is presented in the paper.
