The Establishment of Regional CD-ROM database resources Cooperation Network among Institutions of Higher Learning Top the Priorities

The phenomenon of repeated procurement of CD databases by the libraries in the institutions of higher learning in XI'an area has extremely wasted the limited sources of funds, while the reality of low use dfficiency ahs caused the great wastage to database resorces. Based on the investigatio and statistics. this paper analyses the CD database network operation both in XI'an area and in the whole country, and suggests the measures to establish the regional coordination network of CD database.
