The combination of antibiotics have the purpose of increasing the therapeutic possibilities. All combinations seek the idea] formula capable of solving the problem of bacterial infections and decreasing the cost of treatments at the same time. Thereare three types of interactions with antibiotic combinations: synergism, antagonism and neutral or indifferent. Synergism and antagonism are interactions difficult to predict, since the result can vary depending on the microorganism involved, and theinteractions may take place only on a limited range of drug concentrations. However, the knowledge of effect of the antibiotics upon the microorganisms allows for some latitude in predicting the effect. The Isobologram plotting of the results allows for a somewhat easier interpretation of the effect. Microorganisms Strains: Actinobaciltus pleuropneumoniae ATCC 27088 , serotype 1; Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae ATCC 270090, seroype 3; Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae ATCC 33377 serotype 5; Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae ATCC 33590 serotype 7; Staphylococcus aureus spp. Antibiotics used were: K itasamycin 950 mcg/mg Floxacyn 983.6 mcg/mg; Enrofloxacin 998 mcg/mg; Oxolinic Acid, 998 mcg/mg; The antibiotic combinations were: la Kitasamycin-Enrofloxacin; 2a Kitasamycin-Floxacyn; 3a Kitasamycin-Oxolinic Acid.
