Model Predictive Control of an EAF Off-Gas Process

Model Predictive Control of an electric arc furnace off-gas system is discussed. For effective controller design a comprehensive model is required. A controller model is obtained from a non-linear model for selected operating conditions. Possiblecontroller specifications are given for these operating conditions. The controller design method is briefly discussed. Time-simulations of the closed loop system are shown for a number of selected practical situations.
