Focusing Terramechanic Research towards Tools for Terrain Vehicle Development

Computer-simulation is offering excellent opportunities of a great variety of tools for development, planning and training. The more complicated the problem or the system to be regarded is, the more the application of virtual tools appears to be helpfull. For terrain vehicle systems compution recently has enabled significant progress in the state of the art. The MAN-VEHICLE-TERRAIN-system involves a great number of phenomena with various feed-backs and interactions, and therefore means a very complex problem, which cannot be analysed without further ado by the human brains. Only computer-programs can help here, making practical use of science for the development of terrain vehicles and machinery. In the present paper three different methods of simulation are presented, each of which for special problems.
