Commissioning and start-up of exxon chemical's baytown, texas 700 KTA gas cracker

Exxon Chemical's Baytown Olefins Plant commissioned and successfully started up a new 700 KTA gas cracker in the fall of 1997. The new unit was designed and constructed by M.W.Kellogg of Houston, Texas and commissioned by an integrated team of experienced technicians and engineers from Exxon's worldwide operations. Commissioning / start-up activities culminated with on specification ethylene product production on November 4, 1997.
