Standardisation of open systems and corresponding interfaces for automotive electronics osek /vdx

OSEK/VDX is a joint project of the automotive industry. It aims at an industry standard for an open-ended architecture for distributed control units in vehicles. Software interfaces and functions for communication, network management tasks and a real-time Operating System are jointly specified. An overview of the current state of OSEK/VDX is given. This includes not only the specifications of the three mentioned parts, but also a description of the activities concerning the conformance testing of OSEK/VDX implementations within the MODISTARC project.
