Back analysis of internal forces and earth presure acting on horizontally loaded piles and walls using deformation measurements

摘要

This paper presents a mathematical model for back analysis of internal forces and earth pressure of horizontally loaded piles and walls. Linewise deformation measurements by means of inclinometer respectively siding micrometer measurements are fundamentals for this system of back analysis. Specific features concerning the solution of this problem will be discussed and practical application of the method will be demonstrated.
