PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventionally-used numeric analysis method does not bring about an analytic indication of a closed form allowing the influence of rigidity of each layer of pile draft foundation ground to be incorporated into horizontal displacement calculation, and does not bring about a high degree of quantitative accuracy.;SOLUTION: A hybrid elastic analysis method is newly applied as a calculation method associated with the horizontal displacement of pile group foundation and pile draft foundation for bearing a horizontal force in multilayered ground. Firstly, the pile draft foundation ground composed of pile draft and original ground is modeled as equivalent composite ground by using an equivalent elastic coefficient method. Subsequently, the composite ground is modeled as equivalent multilayered ground by using an equivalent converted thickness method. Furthermore, a solution of the simple closed form capable of being applied to foundation design is presented by applying a formula for the analysis of the horizontal displacement associated with the pile group foundation and the pile draft foundation, which allows the incorporation of an interaction coefficient giving consideration to a pile group effect when they bear the horizontal force.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
