EVALUATION OF THE POSTGRADUATE COURSE ON 'EXPANSION IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF ODONTOLOGICAL SERVICES.' ODONTOLOGY FACULTY. UNIVERSIDAD CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA

The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the "Expansion in the Administration of Odontological Services" which is taught in the Class of Sanitary Odontology of the Odontology Faculty of the Universidad Central de Venezuela (Central University of Venezuela). This course has been taught to multiple generations of odontologists who work in adjoining services in several health institutes in our country. Many have been the changes that have been made to the original design of the program since its creation in 1985, due to the need to search for answers while looking for alternatives towards the better use of human resources and of sanitary infrastructure in dentistry, owing to the crisis in the health sector affecting Venezuela in the past years. The University, as an entity in charge of forming human resources, is historically responsible in assuming professional training for the administration of services as an alternative that allows the optimization and rationalization of the assigned resources in the area of dental health. To comply with this commitment has meant going through different changes during the past 15 years, searching for a profile of our graduates in agreement with the requirements of Venezuela's social-historic process in its different aspects.
