Impact of shell's SB elastomer business on the elastomer markets

SB Elastomers are thermoplastic materials introduced in 1965. The three major styrene-based elastomers are: (1) S-B-S (styrene-butadiene-styrene), (2) S-I-S (styrene-isoprene-styrene) and (3) S-EB-S (styrene-ethylene butylene-styrene). Shell Chemical Company having pioneered the SB elastomers, has been the world leader in the SB elastomers industry.
