To understand the behavior of liquid CO_2 in porous media is essential in the case of underground CO_2 disposal. Since estimating of the permeability is necessary, experiments of two-phase, water and liquid CO_2, flow in porous media were conducted and permeabilities were evaluated. It was elucidated that permeabilities were much smaller than that of single-phase flow because of strong interfacial tension. Although the mechanism of two-phase flow is complicated, diagnostics using MRI now in progress to understand the two-phase flow in porous media.
