PURPOSE: A device and a method for measuring the porosity and the permeability of a dioxide carbon underground storage medium are provided to efficiently measure the porosity and the permeability of a core specimen after applying confining pressure, thereby preventing the deformation of the core specimen.;CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring the porosity and the permeability of a dioxide carbon underground storage medium comprises a holder(120), a pressing pump(130), a gas chamber(160), a first pressure measuring device(170a), a second pressure measuring device(170b), a third pressure measuring device(170c), and a gas meter(240). The holder receives a core specimen collected in a stratum where dioxide carbon is stored. Portions of the holder in the front and rear sides of the core specimen are blocked. The pressing pump applies confining pressure to the core specimen fixed to the holder. An inlet of the gas chamber is connected to the gas storage unit and stores gas supplied from the gas storage unit. An outlet of the gas chamber is connected to the holder and provides the stored gas to the core specimen received in the holder. The second pressure measuring device measures the inner pressure of the holder in the front side of the core specimen. The third pressure measuring device measures the inner pressure of the holder in the rear side of the core specimen. The gas meter is connected to the holder to measure a flow rate of the gas passing through the core specimen received in the holder.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
