Design and calculation of the screw feeder with continuously changing diameter

In order to make the material, such as grain and feed, move out of a material bin fully and avoid producing forming arch phenomenon", the writers of this paper designed the screw feeder with continuously changing diameter. The outstandingcharacteristic of this design is that the external curve on a cut steel plate is a logarithmix helix while the blades in the feeding part of the screw feeder are made. After the blades are welded on the shaft a screw feeder with continuously changingdiameter is formed, which presents a cone in its appearance. In this paper the writers expounded the design and calculation of the screw feeder with continuously changing diameter and gave an example of it as well.
