Until the advent of computer and computer driven embossers, Braille was produced manually by embossing from metal printing plates. Editing and reprinting of these Braille documents are relies on manual copying. This is time consuming and labourintensive. The aim of this paper is to present a automatic Braille translation system which is capable to recognize the Braille pages and convert the Braille documents into English text for editing and Braille/English reproduction.
