摘要

Based on the solution of Navier-Stokes equations and the standard k-ε turbulence model, the numerical simulation on internal flows through the spiral casing and the stay vanes of the model Francis turbine for the Three Gorges hydropower project has been carried out by using the body-fitted coordinates, the staggered grid system and the SIMPLEC algorithm. Simulated flow field through turbine spiral casing and stay vanes is compared with experimental data. The results show that the turbulence model and numerical method employed in present work are precise and applicable to engineering utilization.
