摘要

Imperfect beam-column element for second-order analysis of two- and three-dimensional frames is derived in this paper.Initial imperfection of element is restricted to a curvature in the form of a single sinusoidal half-wave.Force deformation equations and tangent stiffness matrix in eulerian local coordainate system have been obtained using stability function method.as an extension of Oran's equations for straight element.Comparison is made between the present element and the cubic Hermit element by two numerical examples.The obtained results show accuracy and practicality of presented beam-column element.
