摘要

The simultaneous double-sided friction stir welding (DFSW) of the novel fine-grained non-combustive AMX602 (Mg-6%AI-0.5%Mn-2%Ca) magnesium alloy was investigated in this study. The diverse material flows caused by the different welding parameter (rotation direction and travel speed) and heat input affected the microstructure and properties of the joints. The grains growth happened after the DFSW. The complicated material flows caused by the double tools made the texture in the joint random and increased the tensile strength of the joint.
