The Williams' Timed Manual Performance (TMP) test is an assessment tool that is used to evaluate the ability for elderly persons to function adequately in daily life. It consists of a panel with three doors that have three different latches.Presently there is only qualitative information on the anatomical structures involved in performing the five tasks that comprise this testing protocol. Kinematic data from motion capture studies can be used to develop quantitative data that can moreaccurately identify the musculo-skeletal components involved and measure the period and the magnitude of their utilization.
