摘要

Hydroxyapatite (HAp) with controlled pore sizes was prepared with polymethly methacrylate (PMMA) as pore-making agent. Large cracks turned up in the sintered body due to the introduction of large PMMA particles. A certain kind of bio-compatible glass was applied to heal the cracks. The results show that proper glass addition could significantly improve the microstructure as well as the strength of porous HAp ceramics.
