Global anti-seismic analysis of concrete masonry gravity dam

摘要

The seismic responses of a concrete masonry gravity dam are analyzed in being excited with the different earthquake waves. The analysis shows that for this kind of the dam, comparing with a conventional gravity dam, the results based on the spectrum in the Aseismic Code and on time history analysis are in a remarkable diversity. The reasons are analyzed and discussed in detail. The conclusion indicate that a masonry gravity dam designed on the guideling of the Aseismic Code may be more risky.
