The analysis of some output parameters of diesel running on vegetable fuel in transient conditions

The results of tests of DI diesel type AD3.152 in transient conditions have been presented in this paper. The transient conditions of engine work were achieved by free running acceleration caused by quick changes of injection pump control lever position. The tests were carried out on the dynamic test bench equipped with quick-changing variables measuring system and completed with angular acceleration measuring system. Tested engine was fuelled with diesel oil - refined rape oil mixtures. The effect of rape oil quantity in the fuel mixture on diesel performance in transient conditions was analysed. On the grounds of obtained results it is possible to state that in transient conditions both crankshaft angular acceleration values and mean indicated pressure values increase together with the increase of rape oil quantity in the fuel mixture.
