Utilising Natural Gas Fuel to Improve Engine Noise, Vibration and Emission

A series of tests was presented on a Fiat 125, four cylinders, spark ignition engine which was modified to run on either gasoline or natural gas. The aim of this paper was to compare between gasoline and compressed natural gas, focusing on engine noise, vibration and emission. Results indicate that the natural gas fuel gives low noise, vibration and emission of reactive hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide compared with gasoline engine fuel.
