Delivery systems using biodegradable poly(lactide/glycolide) (PLGA) copolymers for controlled release of peptides have been extensively investigated. Only relatively few peptides have been successfully encapsulated into PLGA microspheres which are capable of providing a low burst and continuous uniform release both in vitro and in vivo over 1 month.
