Texture development during cold rolling and subsequent annealing were studied in Cu-Al alloys with different aluminium contents. Experimental results were compared with computer aided texture transformation. It is suggested, that development of the recrystallization texture components could not be explained only on the base of the oriented growth theory. Most of the ideal orientations corresponding to recrystallization texture components are related not to the ideal orientations corresponding to main deformation texture components but to the orientations within the spread of these components. This relation is described by rotation around <111> axes, however, very often rotation angle differs from 40deg and additionally selective choice of defined <111> direction takes place.
