ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY FACILITY CONSTRUCTION EDUCATION

摘要

Partnering between industry and academia can provide unique educational opportunities for today's students. This paper explores how the university can support the construction industry in educating employees and students about the design and construction organization, management, and delivery of modern advanced technology facilities and related supporting infrastructure in a timely and cost effective manner. A program has been developed by the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University to teach the fundamentals of the design, construction, and project management for advanced technology, controlled environment manufacturing facilities. This model for instruction can help bridge the gap between academia and industry for specialized construction projects.
